Search the site and you will find:
"This means the IRC server did not accept the username (User ID) settings in the Ident service (Identd) in mIRC under File/Options/Connect/Identd/. In the error message it shows the part it did not like between the [ ] brackets. Most probably you use characters in your File/Options/Connect/Identd/User ID settings that the server doesn't like. Make sure you remove all strange characters from your User ID. Remove dots, spaces, and all other non-alphabetical characters."This doesn't just include "." but all strange characters like ascii text, commas, semicolons, hyphens, brackets, exclamation marks, question marks, currency symbols such as $, the percentage symbol or speech/quotation marks. Make sure your IdentD is made up of
letters only all in
lowercase for best results.
If the above does not work, search the networks website and find a way to contact the IRC Operators of that network. If you don't know the networks URL search
Google.
To change your Ident, use
/IdentD on NewIdentHere. This is the bit BEFORE the '@' in your user@hostname (ident@hostname if you prefer). If you have a Firewall set you may need to allow port 113 before you can connect to the server/network. Port 113 is the Ident port.
By the way "0.0.0.0" is not meant to be your IP, it is
meant to say "0.0.0.0" ;P
