Forums Bug Reports Bug in all mIRC's I've tried.

It seems no matter what client or such that I use, when I log onto a channel on irc.sorcery.net, it wont show some users, or it won't show the full nick

like penpen will be penp

or just some people dun show on the list one single bit. I never noticed this error really till mIRC 6.12
but if I try and older versions after trying 6.12, it does the same on them all and I dont know what's going on.

my friend says he updated mIRC the same day he updated his Windows XP last...

I updated Windows 2000 the same day I got 6.12, so there is a reason to believe it could be something in how mIRC and windows interact.. i dont know

Check your debug (/debug @debug) window and see if the server is infact sending the whole names list, if the names list is too long it will often be truncated, resulting in the last nick of each names 'block' being shortened or some nicks missing alltogether.

If this is the case you will have to contact the admin of that server/network and ask them to modify their servers to send shorter NAMES output.
