Forums mIRC Help dcc error

when im recieving a file off mirc sometimes my computer will freeze and my cpu usage will go way up then down then up then down and then i lose internet and i have to restart my computer! (im on cable modem) i thought it was a windows error so i reformated then i thought it went away but it didnt does anybody else get this or can someone help me this is real annyoning restarting my computer every 5 mins

What mIRC version are you using? On what version of Windows? Got any scripts running? From where did you get your mIRC version? And so on...

im using mirc 6.12 but it also happened on 6.1 i think thats when it started happening when i got 6.1 im using windows xp and got many of them just about every mirror there was and no i dont have any scripts running
