Forums mIRC Help Im not able to join #[**] chans with mirc 6.12

Hi,
im not able to join chans with "[]" ( i wanted to join #[aeon] on quakenet. Im using mirc 6.12. With a non 6.X version its not a problem.
I always get this answer "[14:12:13] *** [[aeon]] Channel does not exist".
Can somebody please help me?

I could join #[landonsandor] without a problem & 6.12 here

I found the soultution.
you have to type /j #[balablabla] to join it.. even when theres "#[aeon] dislpayed anywhere i join "[aeon" on doubleklick.

I used the normal /join command. Oh, you're talking about the "hover over join" then eh?
