How come I never get to see the "New post" (orange) icons, even if there are new posts since the last time I visited the forum? Both new and old posts are yellow here (IE 6, SP1).

The box said "Requires Windows 98 or Higher". So, I installed Linux.

Yellow for new and white for no new.

I have the same problem. It switches forums on me, though. Currently, my Scripts & Popups forum is the one that's not showing new posts inside the forum, though the lightbulb turns yellow on the mail forums list. Before that, it was Bug Reports for me. It's very annoying in Scripts & Popups because it's such an active forum.

yup, problems like this, as well as login problems, and when you seem to be unable to post on the board are almost always solved by throwing away the cookie that the board uses to remember who you are and what you saw already, or all your cookies.

It seems that the bug is getting more common (for me anyway), I have cleared my cookies 4 times today because of it, and am about to do so again confused

Are you all using the latest version of the browser you use? This works perfectly in IE6

I'm using IE6 and I, too, have the same problem occasionally. Usually, one forum at a time.
