Forums General Discussion Oh my god! Not AGAIN!

This is incredible, i haven't used IRC for like 4 hrs in total and i am banned twice for spamming and i didn't do anything! Pips can testify to that in the chat room. Geez, this is the first time ever i was banned from anything and is really pissing me off. I don't even know how the heck i can spam. Can someone help me out here? This is just VERY frustrating.

*sigh* looks like u guys here can't do anything. This is REALLY getting on my nerves. I am thinking of ditching this whole IRC thing altogether. There HAS to be some other options.

Yeah but they are not chat rooms right? It is hard to get everyone signed up at the same time. I need an option that is a real time chat room like IRC but without all that BS it is giving me.

Understand that while most of us check new posts several times a day, expecting an answer in 7 mins or less is unrealistic.

-Run a virus scan or three
-contact the network, check their website for how in order to work it out if its a server ban, the ops in the channel if its a channel ban
-just because you dont know you are spamming doesnt matter, lots of ppl with trojans they got from files/scripts dont know it either
-it could be someone with a close ip to you that is the problem and you are getting caught up in it
-you may not consider something you know you are doing as spam, but the channel/network does

I think thats a bit harsh, can't you see the poor fella is running smack dab into the cravings?
He's got the IRC monkey on his back and he needs a /fix :P
