Hi!

I'm form Hungary. I want to know whether I can
make a translation of mirc. I'm willing to do that.

Can I? Should I? How to?

Is there a translation-kit or something?

mIRC does not have translation support.

I dont think that mirc will suply that.. the only way to do this "for now" is to open mirc and translate all the text that show up in the popups.. same for/with the help file.. but thats a huge amount of text so it will take eages to translate all there.. but thnx for asking tho

mIRC does not have translation support... yet.
Though we do expect translations to be added sometime, hopefully sooner than later.

I'm also trying to encourage Khaled & Tjerk to add a new forum specifically for multi-lingual people to discuss translations, and perhaps offer us single-linguals ready access to people willing to translate mIRC related documents/ tutorials.

You might want to take at look at the translation page on mIRC's website if you havent already. At this time, the basic download & install file has several translations, and there are links to the FAQ, info, homepage and general IRC and mIRC help in other languages. Perhaps you know of related Hungarian sites Tjerk could consider adding.

im wondering if the new bigger buttons in 6.1 are done cause khaled is planning to add other languages later, or that its done to look ok on different themes...

the cancel key is big enough to put "annuleren" on(dutch cancel) kinda like the default windows ok/cancel buttons

Well thats not the reason he gave us.

It's my understanding the buttons were enlarged to "standard size" so things look better in XP and Wine and perhaps other emulators.
