Is there an option for English English so this can be spelt properly (favourites)?

Well actually it is spelt properly. It's just not spelt the same as it is in your country. mIRC currently only supports 1 language, And that is the langauge of the majority of it's users.

Please lets not get into yet another thread on the way things are spelt in different countries or the slang used around and about the world.

As i'm not the one who started this thread, And there was nothing wrong in what I said, And as I never get involved in those debates, I'll presume you just clicked my name and replied to me out of conveniance.

The whole point of my posting is that I want it spelt properly for English English.

The majority of English language users use it as a second language.

I think a programme that originated in England should use English English. Just my opinion.

Patriotism has nothing to do with it.

Ok for one, this should be a feature suggestion then, not a bug report. The wording of your post suggested that you felt the spelling in mIRC was wrong, Also the fact that you posted it as a Bug reported implied you meant that.

Anyway, In answer to your feature request, In Khaleds FAQ it says he is working on making mIRC easy to translate into other languages.

I am from the UK too, Coming from such a small country, it's something that you should expect, Not for everything to be bent your way, When the masses don't spell words like that. Infact, I feel it's quite arrogant to expect it otherwise.

Also, I am English and I prefer the American way of spelling these words. Languages evolve and older isn't always better.

Actually I'm not from the UK, I just like your English particularities. smile But I don't even know how to speak/write proper English, my main language is Brazilian Portuguese.
In my case it's only a matter of taste, I don't really care that much if it's "color" or "colour" when I'm just reading (that's why my previous posts were filled with some smilies ). I can keep writing "colour" in this environment, plus (hopefully) I will be able to translate mIRC's features, so there's no problem at all.
If I ever demand such a cultural change (at least I consider it this way), I will surely be focused on accent rather than spelling, also in a very personal environment, because I'm aware that most people will simply be used to American English.. no one can change this nowadays.
