Hi
I'm using mIRC 6.03 with PnP 4.22, a lovely combination. Now, without changing anything I have a problem wich I don't know who to blame it on. (Does that sentence make any sense?)

When I change my nick, I get the following error:
[20:07:17] ••• [new nick ] Change to nickname too fast - Changing in 0 seconds (F10 to cancel)
which repeats every second until I press that F key several times and the nick doesn't change

confused Any Idea?

Try typing /remote off before you change your nick. Some servers prevent fast nick changes too though, so it could be a combination of both things. It's the PnP script that's possibly delaying your nickchange even more by giving you the error message and waiting for you to press the F key that it's allocated.

Never compare yourself to others - they're more screwed up than you think.

Thanks, but that doesn't help.

This is a server issue and most servers have it to prevent nickchange floods (or help with it anyway). Regardless of what script you have all you can do is be more patient with nick changes.

no, I checked that... same connection, same server, without PnP no problem.
BTW. I don't change my nick so often... it's just a away function
