Forums Connection Issues Help, I'm always disconnected

Hi, I'm having trouble because eveytime I try to connect then download from my friend, it disconnects me. I mean after 5 or so minutes of downloading, my network totally collapses and I have to restart the computer in order to use the net again. I notice that my network only collapses whenever I'm using mIRC. I tried downloading some large file at downloads.com to test, but it's I'm sure it's because of mIRC. Any help is grately appreciated. Thanks.

i'm not sure what you mean by your "network collapses".

-if you are getting disconnected from the IRC network, what is the disconnect error? (a friend may be able to tell you what they saw if you dont see it) If its 10053,Software caused connection abort, try this thread

-are you using any "speed patch" addon to increase dcc speed?

-what OS are you using?
