I am using the latest version of mIRC. I am using Trend Micro's PC Cillin 2003 for a virus scanner. PC Cillin has flagged two file's from mIRC as being a virus. The files are:

C:\Program Files\ mIRC\popups.ini
C:\Program Files\ mIRC.exe

The name of the virus is called BKDR_MINEH.A

My scanner caught whatever this was and it was not successful at executing.

You can find the answer to your question here.

Added by Krejt:

The BKDR_MINEH.A virus that PC-Cillin reports is a false positive, a false virus warning. From what I understand the virus pattern file 636 fixes this false positive. Read more here:

Apparently, Trend Micro has still not correctly fixed the problem with the latest pattern update to their PC-Cillin software, so you will need to wait until they release another update.
