Since I hsve been on this forum, I have seen numerous posts saying who they think should become a moderator.
Now is your chance to have your say, who do you think should be a moderator (you can choose up to 3), who do you think is:
  • on the forum quite a lot.
  • Kind, in the sense of helping anyone, even if they quarall.
  • reliable.

I have provided a few bullet points, now it's your input I need. grin

I see KingTomato quite a lot on this forum, and he is a very good mIRC scripter, very helpful, as do I see Watchdog and Codemastr, these are 3 of the best scripters I have ever seen, helping others when helped, stating points when needed to be stated.
I've had my say, you have yours. grin

watchdog, raccoon and kingtomato.
i would say codemastr because his points are very good and he seems unbiased, but sometimes he comes across too strong to get his points across

Do these forums need any more moderators? Posts that need moderating generally get moderated before I get a chance to see em. From what I've seen there's no need for more. Also, I think that if the moderators feel new moderators need to be added (if they even have that power -- or authority, they probably don't have the access they need to add new ones --), isn't it logical to assume they would seek this person out?

Yes, and no.
Yes because you can never have too much of something.
No because these moderators are fair.

There's quite a few that need moderating and there is quite a few that don't need moderating.

If they don't have the access they need, then Krejt and Khaled can add new Moderators if they feel they are fair enough and what knot.

What's to stop administrators having an enrollment proces? To seek talent etc etc.
Thanks for your post, you made some good points. smile

I dont know, but i got the feeling that this is a subject for the moderators in this forum, i would be really pisst off if somone started to send messages to my channel about who should be oped or not, and i get the feeling this is the same thing "only that this is a forum". and the owners/moderators of this forum should pic who they want as a moderator, i dont think that this post will give them any help, and what i have seen so far the moderators are active and doing what they are suposed to do, so let this be answered by the ppl that should do the "picing", and not say "i want him/her as a moderator" this will only end up with a fight or name calling, why change somthing that working great already? i havent seen any problems with this forum.. smile

Just FYI, moderators are never voted on and are always hand-picked by Tjerk and Khaled. I personally don't see the need for adding more at this time, but it isn't my call. I haven't seen any complaints, and I think we're keeping things running smoothly now without stepping on each others toes. *shrug*

If, as in my forum, Moderators usernames are displayed in green, I would say thatis the difinitive post and there need be no further discussion.

Of course, that's only my opinion ... I have been known to be wrong before. wink

Yeah well you don't see complaints because when I complain about a moderator, my posts "magically" disappear.

yeah lol .. just have him post "the new mIRC sucks" or "mIRC 6.1 is a lemon" and he'll find out how posts magically disappear.

Has this actually happened? I think all of us can take any criticism you may have without censoring anything. I find it hard to believe any moderator would delete your post unless they felt it was completely inappropriate for the forums.

That said, I've noticed that you like to get involved with the threads that will obviously get deleted (usually responding to the post after using the 'notify a moderator' button). If you commented on a moderator in a thread like that, it should be no surprise that it disappeared with the other posts.

If you have a complaint, you're welcome to send us private messages, or to send Tjerk a message if you like. Making unsubstantiated claims like this aren't very productive.

I dont know why you behave like this? the only thing it will do is get you banned from the forum, and if thats what you want, why dont you just leav and dont return?

Well like for example, I had a post deleted where I said ParaBrat wrongfully yelled at someone for saying they didn't like 6.1. Next thing I know, my post is gone. Then in another post I specifically said, "my post was deleted, I have no idea what I did wrong, if you don't tell me why you're deleting my posts, how can you expect me to not do the same thing again?" Well that post was deleted as well. Seeing as how both of those posts were directed at ParaBrat, I assume she was the one who deleted them, but as I said, I was given no information, I don't know who deleted them or why.

[ParaBrat note: I did NOT delete your posts, as i told you before. Believe what you wish. I assume by "wrongfully yelled at" you are referring to my comment that i didnt personally see why having to click on font after using alt+v is a valid reason for not giving 6.1 a chance? Hardly yelling, nor is it wrongful to state my personal opinion. As i have told you many times, if you have a personal issue with me, or question my responses, feel free to pm me]
