Hi

Lately I've been having some problems regarding speed when connecting to quakenet.

After:

-irc.quakenet.org- *** Got ident response

I get a pause of about 50 seconds before I'm logged on and can choose a channel to join.

I'm not on a router but ADSL modem via DHCP server at ISP so I can't mess around with ports. Besides I know that port 113 is not closed at my ISP. I'm not running any firewall and the one in XP is disabled.

If I try EFnet or any other net for that matter everything is as it should be.

I've also tried disabling Ident but without luck.

What could be the problem here?

Thanks.

I would think the server is lagged, or maybe somthing else that disturbing, so just try next server in the list for Quakenet

if ($me != tired) { return } | else { echo -a Get a pot of coffee now $+($me,.) }
