It seems mIRC6.1 has a big Problem with Proxie connections.
When I tell it to go through my home proxie server (Socks5 without login), it tells me after all connection tries the ' Unable to resolve server-' message.

I use Win2000 with all Service Packs and Updates, if thats a reason.

So I have to SocksCap it, that works, but the older version was able to use proxies (shure smile)

Hiya

Im thinking thats a bug and will get fixed.
But at time you should use SocksCap to let it run through a socksproxy.
I dont think that this problem is normal.

I also find the bug.
because you are in LAN and no DNS server in LAN

mIRC 6.1 will resolve the domain name before connecting, so you cannot connect to server any more!

try to change the domain name into IP address

Ah THX!

So previous mIRC's didn't resolve the DNS during connecting?
I will enable a DNS now, that should work.
