I can connect to all of the IRC nets I have tried but cannot get on the Undernet without a billion tries. Keeps connecting then close with "Too many connections from your host". I only have this computer, Dell8500 running WindowsXP and am connecting through Direcway 2way satelite. What can I do to fix this?
Thanks

First thing is make sure you are not:

1. Trying the connection attempts too quickly - you'll get throttled.
2. That you are not sharing your connection with others that use Undernet - cloning is forbidden on most networks and while some breathing space is usually allowed, after a set number of connections you'll either be blocked or banned, depending on the network.

1. I am using the standard mIRC steetings and have no problem except with Undernet.

2. Am the only user with mIRC on this computer and am not connected to a lan.
