I think I may have found a bug in the options.
If you enable a firewall/proxy in
Options->Connect->Firewall
By choosing Server or DCC in the dropdown menu, the option None disappears (which was previously selected) and is replaced with Both.
I couldn't find a way to disable the firewall without editing mirc.ini and manually turning it off.

This has been reported many times before, you can use the arrow keys to select the None option.

Thanks for the bug report, it should be fixed in the next version.

Nimue's Solution: "Once you click in the combo box, you can use the up arrow key to return to none."

It is OS specific, Specific to every OS except XP.

I just switched from Win2K pro which did have the problem, to XP, which doesn't. So it is not just Win98 that is affected. Rather, It is just Win XP that isn't.

I didnt say that win98 was the only OS effected, nor did i intend to imply that. My only intent was to thank the poster and tell him we were already aware that it is dependant on the OS being used.
