Hmmm....
If mirc has it own bowser, dat would be nice... just like the add-on program -- smarticq
IE and Netscape make our comp become lagging and a bit annoy. And without highlighting, we dunno that there's someone find us when we are surfing the web.

you can set mIRC to have it flash when its the inactive window (file/options/irc/options) and even set it to beep if there is any activity in a window (file/options/sounds) so you would know about any posts in windows you have open.
and of course you already know you can set highliting to your nick. I dont see how mIRC having its own browser would solve the problem you mentioned.

it does help a little, i can just click the query or channel at the switchbar, dat easy.

You can get a .dll that does this trick and quite well too. I don't remember Necroman's URL but try www.mircscripts.org, it'll be in the .dll secontion there. I've released 3 scripts with this .dll and it's never let anyone down.
