My problem:
If i go under preferences --> sounds and i uncheck
the "Enable Sounds" option I still get all the sounds.
(the highligght sound, the query sound, all).

Does anyone know why?

Thx in advance,
TGeRi

Under that checkbox there is a combo box with events listed. Go through that list and on each event hit the big long button under that to turn the beep off.

Hammer's idea isn't good for me because i need the volume cause i wake up at mornings when winamp starts to play a song.

I hope you understand me.

I want to enable/disable the sound ONLY in mirc (but there totlly) by the enable/disable sounds option under preferences. I think it was made to do that but i don't know why is it not working.

You use a clean mIRC? so you dont have a script you using? i helped a guy on a network befor, he had the same problem.. then when i asked him to send me hes mIRC ziped i saw he had an remote for sound, so the sound dialog in mIRC was by pased, so all he had to do was to set a
%var off, its not somthing like that?

Hi!

No, i am not using any kind of script.
But i know the ansver know:
IF u disable the sounds by unchecking the checbox
called "enable sounds" you really disable them
EXPECT the highlight sound. So if i uncheck the box
and then uncheck the "enable hightlight" box too
i get no sound.

Or i hope so.

Thx for the answers,
TGeRi
