Forums mIRC Help File recieving problem

I am trying to recieve a file and when the transfer box comes up it says.... connection failed. then in the channell window i am told to set my client to recieve files and i thought i had. PLEASE HELP

if (+pe isin $usermode) { /umode -pe }
Basically, type: //privmsg $me $usermode.
If +pe is in the message type /umode -pe.
