I know this can be done easily with dialup, is there a way when you have either an adsl or cable connection?

It works the same way on dialup or broadband. Where the difference will lie is if you are using a network, where the connection information (I assume you speak of localhost IP/hostname, etc) will be the IP provided by your gateway rather than the IP provided by your ISP.

I *think* he means like get the connection speed and things like that. In which case, no mIRC does not offer functions to do that however you could get a dll to do it.

does anyone know if there is a way to get the stats about the traffic, which works on all (32bit) windows versions?
I gave up searching, but.. is it possible, that the none-NT-based versions don't support this?

yes, i have and still use it. The think that confuses me is, that moo.dll returns the traffic on win98 and i don't know which way.
