Hi, I am looking for a script that would translate incoming text from one language to another.

Does anyone know of any?

Not necessarily; mircscripts.org has a few "translators" that use socket communication to retrieve the translated phrase from a website. However none of them satisfied me - they are not up to date therefore they fail to communicate with some websites such as Altavista.

Portuguese to English mainly. And are you talking about just a word translator, or a gramatical one as well?

I don't get why people use online translators. A Portuguese -> English translator just takes perfectly fine Portuguese and turns it into mangled and unintelligable English. How is that helpful?
