Forums Connection Issues A@?.?, How do I change my "A".

When I join my fav. IRC Network, I get the hostmask "Anonymous@**.**.**.com" How do I change the "Anonymous", It seems when I change my UserID it works, but it works rarely and usually uses "Anonymous".

mirc has nothing to do with your address. the server decides what masking it will use,if any.

the admins of the server/network decide how they will mask your ip and what names people will be given in the hostmask, but mirc has nothing to do with it, if you want it changed ask 1 of the admins at the server.

if you edit it in the ini file then the server will just change it back when you reconnect anyway i would think.

Before you connect, go to Alt+O, Connect - then in the email field, type in what you want to see before the @ part of the address. Make sure this corresponds to what you have set in identd. If neither of these work, it might be worth doing a virus scan.
