It really interests me where these people come from.

Not just the way he speaks or being generally insulting, but rather the ghetto slacker mentality that everything should be so easy that it doesn't need explaining, and as soon as you mention a word they don't understand... it somehow becomes YOUR fault for using it, and for even suggesting that technology may require a little learning.

Blunted206, if you don't mind... could you please entertain us with a little information about yourself? Perhaps some demographics including where you went to school and what grade you decided to stop? Did you really grow up in the inner city, or are you just a suburbanite wigger wannabe?

It doesn't pain me to see such a "bright young mind" goto waste. It pains me to see perfectly good information wasted on such a "bright young mind" as yours.

I notice that he hasn't returned for a while, probably an admission that he can't say anything intelligently.

Good grief...it truly upsets me that there are people that wish to be spoon fed and not take the responsibility of learning. I have no problem helping those that will help themselves, but this buffoon is quite a different matter. He offers nothing in return for valuable info except abuse. Oh, I forgot, we OWE him...sorry...

Ok, I run an IRCXpro server and in that software you can mask like this:
An example:
If my IP was something@123.456.789.44 The software for my server make it possible to mask a host or IP like this: something@wkwjejncncxk

That means if you are an Admin you can set it the way you like, but every admin and ops will be able to see it.

Hope this help.

I read earlier that by masking your IP, you will not be allowed in certian servers... is this with only a select few, or the majority... and why? I've got one more question... I would _absolutly_ have to own a shell account (which is an IRC server?) in order to mask my IP like so *!*@i.h4x0r3d.micros0ft.because.3y3.4m.l337.0rg?

I run a chat server and cannot easily mask my IP unless I use vhost ... of course, I'm still learning and don't really know what I'm talking about ... wink

Yeah I guessed the v was for virtual, but what actually is it and how can you set it up, that works on any server right, not just the ones that let you mask with their service thingy?

Flame wars have occured in the past. If you're so unhappy about them, please don't add fuel to them when they died months ago. If you need help with something, start a new thread.

mIRC has a proxy feature for legitimate use only, 95% of users don't need it. Help with setting proxies up can be found at www.mirc.co.uk/help/proxies.html

You can try this
http://www.privacyconnector.com
It use VPN solution to encrypt your Internet connection and make you anonymous surfing.
Just subscribe it using PayPal, and cancel the subscription immediately, you can use it for free without any charge (Because PayPal will not charge you at the trial period). But this server is very slow.....
