HI. Whenever I have the new mIRC minimized in the systray and explorer crashes, when explorer comes back.. mIRC is no where to be found except listed in the taskmanager. Is there anyway of getting it back since it is still active, just hidden? I've tried using the switch to option in taskmanager but it doesn't work. I am using XP service pack 1a. All my other activities come back, just not mIRC, well, unless I happen to have one or more windows open to the desktop.

That has happened to me on WIn 2000 and XP but only about three times ever. I don't know what causes it though my solution is to reboot. If someone has a magic trick to get it back I'd love to see it myself.

1. Send a DDE command to mIRC from another instance of mIRC (or another application).

/dde mirc command "" /showmirc -s

2. Remote control your mIRC with another connected client. This assumes you have some remote control backdoor (secure or otherwise) script installed.

/ctcp yourself DO /showmirc -s

Well. At least I won lunch.
