This is something that you should ask in the network's help room. Someone here may know but you might get a quicker response there.

Since you're talking about Passport, you undoubtedly mean MSN. MSN does NOT allow you to use mIRC, and we will not support you with it.

It amazes me how you jumped on the anti-illegal filesharing bandwagon, yet you have no qualms about helping people break msn's rules. Did you not read this post?

Don't even try to justify it by spouting rubbish like that.

Whats the difference between a law and a rule? Absolutely nothing.
Law: A rule of conduct or procedure established by custom, agreement, or authority.
Rule: An authoritative, prescribed direction for conduct, especially one of the regulations governing procedure in a legislative body or a regulation observed by the players in a game, sport, or contest.
Notice how those two definitions are almost identical. Your argument makes no sense, and saying the staff does it is even dumber. Umm the staff are the ones who made the rules, if they want to use mIRC they can. Thats like saying "#somechan's rules says no colors, but the ops use colors all the time!" Welcome to IRC, those who make the rules are the same people who enforce them.

im not trying to justify it, i know its wrong. but when their own staff do it,your not going to see me stopping.
* The jury returns with a guilt verdict for the charge of murder* Judge: Well do you have anything to say for yourself? phoenix: Well Your Honor, let me just say, I was reading recently, that in war, our soldiers have killed people. Yet, none of our soldiers have been tried as murdered for killing the enemy. In fact, we praise them for their heroism! All I am saying is, if the soldiers, employees of the government, are allowed to kill and murder, why shouldn't I be granted that same right? Why are they exhalted as heros yet I am condemned to prison? This clearly makes no sense. I respectfully ask the court to release me from custody and set aside my conviction. * Judge, Jury, and all others present begin laughing uncontrollably* Just because some people are allowed to do something doesn't mean it makes it ok for you to do it too.

I read all your posts, you believe the sysops are breaking the rules. If the admins choose not to do anything about the sysops using mIRC, than that means it is acceptable for them to do it. It doesn't make it acceptable for you to do it.

So where exactly is the reason why it's OK for you to break the rules? If you think that someone else is breaking the rules tell someone, don't try and use it as a pathetic excuse to justify your actions.
Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and stupid comments are intentional.

Have you ever stopped to think why people argue with you so much on here? Maybe it's time you did. Might I suggest you read the last post in this thread - in case it went over your head the first time.

Personally i dont care if you choose to break the rules on MSN, that is their problem to deal with. I DO care when you break the rules here. As you say, you are well aware its wrong. What has the fact that ppl on MSN dont follow their rules got to do with respecting the policies of this forum? I posted the reply i got from MSN on this subject and clearly said we will not help someone evade their policy. You should know by now that this forum doesnt help ppl break laws/policies/rules regardless of where they want to do it.
You have made it clear that you dont respect the policies of this forum, mIRC or MSN. You justify breaking the rules on MSN, you went out of your way to tell me you altered the version reply of mIRC as a result of a thread that clearly said that was a violation of the agreement, and now you try to justify ignoring the policies here based on what some ppl do on MSN? If someone else went against a policy or law you would be among the first to flame them for it. Obviously you feel the rules only apply to other ppl and dont count for you.
Using your logic of "if someone else can break the rules then so can i" then what do you expect, that we should also say "sure, here's how to d/l illegal files. its ok, its you and someone else is doing it" "oh sure, we'll help you evade the ban on that network cause other ppl do it" "sure, hex mIRC, other ppl do" "hey, sure i'll tell you how to crack software even tho it isnt allowed here cause other ppl do it".
I am very disappointed in you.

1: i deleted all my posts in this thread because i thought about the policies of this forum, but while i was making the posts, i didnt think of that. 2: my version reply says: tidy trax v1.0(mIRC 6.03 by khaled-mardam-bey on win XP) i dont see whats wrong about that, i added a tiny bit at the start, but im still giving credit to khaled.
