Forums Feature Suggestions Profiles with photos ?!?

How long do we have to wait till we get that option ?
I mean it's more easy to chat with someone, when you first see his/her photo!

Ask them to send you a photo, if they do - look at it. Seeing as mIRC doesn't control the IRC protocol, and the IRC protocol is text-only anyway, it would be impossible for a 'feature' which did it any better.


Err.. not really. Maybe it's easier to have cybersex when you have an alleged photo of them, but it's certainly not easier to chat.

This suggestion as already been disguessed at length. Ultimately, it would be difficult to impliment because there's no central server to host these photos. It would be possible to have a CTCP PHOTO command built in, so you automatically DCC SEND your photo.jpg file to the requester... but this would only cause major havoc when every guy with a hardon sends out mass PHOTO commands looking for some T&A.

Long story short... if you want to chat with someone, get to know them. You're never going to get in bed with them anyway, so looks really don't matter, do they. Try downloading some porn, there's a lot of it out there.

-why would what a person looks like make it easier to chat with them? how would you even know it was really the persons pic? does a persons appearance matter that much to you that you would expect they make it available to anyone who has the urge to see it just so that you could rather than ask them to see it?
