other day I was playing with my script to show the current url that you are having your broswer on. at that time I do not have any broswer running. I tried to do this //say $url in my mirc client. It did froze my client. to solve problem. I had to start my IE.

wondering if anyone have similar problem with $url ?

mirc 6.03 is the version I have.

Yes, I've noticed this aswell. I'm not sure if it's Internet Explorer or mIRC who is responsible, but it happens quite frequently.

mIRC 6.00, IE 5.0, Win98SE

(Yes, I know there are new versions for all of these, so don't even suggest it. I can live in perfect harmony with this error and have no complaints)

What version of Internet Explorer do you have? I suggest upgrading (if you didn't already) to Internet Explorer 6 SP1. Also get all the updates from Windows Update.
