I currently run only 2 scripts, both which store their settings in variables. But whenever I close mIRC it's not saving them which forces me to manually reload the scripts every time I start mirc and having to reset all my settings for the script. I never had a problem before untill I uninstalled then reinstalled mirc after formating my computer. Is this just a setting in my options I did wrong?

Thanks

It would sound like you have a script with an ON EXIT or ON DISCONNECT event that might be clearing the variables.

I had this happen to me a long time ago, when I accidentally specified a script file as my variables file. Everything worked fine until I deleted the script. mIRC wouldn't create a new file of the same name, it simply failed to save a variables file when mIRC was closed.

Could be?

your variables vile may also be read-only? Allowing mirc to only store values in memory, and when it tryed to dump on exit it fails?

In the mIRC Editor, I simply went to File > Load > Variables and selected variables.ini (create an empty file by that name if one doesn't exist)
