I have a question:

Sometimes when I'm working with my scripts in mirc 6.03, I get some problems. The problem could be something like this in popups:

CTCP
.Send:/command
.Chat:/command

When I click on "OK", and open popups again, it's like this:

CTCP
.Send:/command.Chat:/command

When I change it back, it turns back to the same again. Sometimes, I have to close IRC, wait a couple of days while programming something else, and then try to correct the error again. And that works - but others may get the same problem. Does anybody know what to do about it? It's really annoying shocked

I always just put a semicolon (;) between the lines. It's a quick fix.

It's only happened to me in Popups files. I just shifted them to remote files using "menu whateverlist {" and all is well.

I was one of many who ask that question on the previous board and never could get a proper solution. It was happening to me when the ini file was getting to a certain size and I was making deletion and addition at the end of a line. Are there hidden characters there? I don't know.

My solution was similar to watchdog's. I transferred all my ini files to mrc files (remote) and never had that problem again.

but it sometimes happen in remote. It's not only Aliases and Popups =o/

Is that error going to be corrected in the next version of mIRC?

Are your remote "ini files or "mrc files"? Stay away from ini files.

Actually I'm using both of them... MRC and INI.

And watchdog, thank you for your idea smile I'll try it, but I know I don't really like it. Probably because sorting of a menu is hard - probably because I'm not good at it.

I really want to use popups for my menu, but there is this stupid error... GRRR!!

LoL i found that out when i was tryin to write an auto greet script with random popups to greet ..... i tried it in text file and it erased the color codes ... tried it in ini and again erased em .... finally figured ok lets try mrc lmao finally figured it out but yeah i now try to stay away from writting things into text and ini files but rather writting things into .mrc files .... that way they actualy do post right even if its a color coded post
