I'm a new mIRC user and I'm working on making a private chat server using Chat for MS Exchange available for company-related chats to my users. I want to require NTLM authentication to log into the server. Is there a way to configure mIRC to do this? I'm also unable to log in with basic authentication.

I was able to configure the Trillian IRC client to authenticate, but that appears to be using basic authentication. To test that, I disabled basic authentication on the Chat server and was prevented from logging in with the Trillian client.

I don't believe mIRC can do this on its own... from what I understand, NTLM is a proprietary and (for the most part) undocumented Microsoft protocol.
