Forums mIRC Help private message

hi, umm i had to re-install mirc a few hours ago

Anyway my problem is now when peopl private message me, i get a [12:41] *Assasinz* hi in my main active chat window, i dont actually get a PM window up, i`v looked in the options, and never had this problem before, maybe i`v missed something in the options, but cant find it.

Can anybody help me please ?

In options->IRC there is a box to the right with 'show in active' - is 'queries' unchecked?

yes all the tick boxes are ticked, infact last time i had mirc installed they were all ticked and i had no problems

Uncheck the 'show queries in active window' option, it should then open up in a separate window

haha, yeah, umm i unchecked the the 'show queries in active window' option and it works again thanks , probably wasnt looking at the right place, but i did have it checked last time and i could still accept PM`s oh well, she works again
