Forums mIRC Help Upgrade question

I have browsed the forums and I am not seeing an answer to this: I had to upgrade my version of MIRC because I was having difficuly entering some chats because of their own upgrades. Without thinking, I simply agreed to have my previous version of MIRC upgraded, without removing folders that had chat logs and files in them. Is there any way for me to retrieved the replaced version of my MIRC? I don't see it anywhere in recycle or trash, etc. If it's gone, it's gone, but I would like to know if I can recover it. Thank you.

The mIRC installer performs, by default, an upgrade that does not overwrite your current settings or scripts. If you select the "full" install option in the installer, it will install the default settings and scripts and backup any existing files that it overwrites to a "backups" folder in the install folder. You should be able to find any old files in the "backups" folder in the mIRC install folder.
