1) When creating a custom @Window, one must know in advance the tabstop widths they want to use.
2) It is not possible to change the tabstops after the window has been created.

I would like to dynamically alter the tabstop widths as I am adding lines to a window, as data within columns grow or shrink. It would be really cool if mIRC could dynamically grow or shrink tabstops automatically. Elastic tabstops.

Feature creep: It'd be really cool if one could sort the lines in a custom window by tab column; -s[N]. And if this column sorting can be changed without closing the window each time.

Well. At least I won lunch.
Good philosophy, see good in bad, I like!
