Hello!

I have the mIRC 7,38 with IRcap 8.72 and I have some problems to the view some things.

CTRL B (I get a square invisible) ------->

CTRL + K (I get a square) -------->

And do a whois to myself or another user also I get that square.

You can see two examples in the links below:

Image 1) https://s29.postimg.org/ys4ckzpqv/Capture1.png

Image 2) https://s29.postimg.org/zbp59o6pz/Capture2.png

To see if you can help me with this problem of visualization in the mirc/ircap.

My S.O is Windows 10 PRO.

Thanks a lot,

Regards, David.

The control codes used for color, bold, italics, etc. are non-printable characters. This means that they may be visible as boxes, or other character shapes, or they may be non-visible depending on the type of font that you are using. There is a discussion here about this.

That said, the boxes in your examples should not be visible in status/channel/query windows if they are valid control codes that mIRC supports. As they are visible, this seems to indicate that the original control codes were modified in some way and are no longer valid.

The only way to track down the cause of this is to test this using a clean copy of mIRC, with no scripts installed, to see if you can reproduce the issue.

The problem is in your DLL that you use in scripts and respond for attaching characters in text, not in mIRC.
