Hello,

Wrong:
/protect test!*@* #test TestNetwork
See: mIRC Address Book / Control Tab (alt+b).

Ok:
/aop test!*@* #test TestNetwork
/avoice test!*@* #test TestNetwork
and /ignore ...

Regards.
mIRC 7.46 / 7.46.343 (beta).

Ps. Maybe because /protect won't accept address but there is "type" like in /aop, /avoice... Should work the same way?

For now /protect won't add !*@* if we don't input type. Adding a channel or network name seems to be working properly.
!*@* works in /ignore, /aop, /avoice.

This is for backwards compatibility. When /protect was first added, it only worked on nicknames and did not support an address format and scripts expected the protect list to only contain nicknames. Once type support was added, it was assumed that if a script used type with protect, it was designed to handle an address format. You can force an address format by specifying a type or by using nick!*@* in the command.
