for an unregistered user, the displayed host (masked ip) looks something like this: @754940.4CGHC7.871250.9112E9. If i ban this masked ip, all nick names connecting from that ip is banned.
for an registered nick (abc in this case), displayed host looks like - abc.users.irc.org. Masked ip of this nick isn't visible. So i cannot set a ban on the masked ip like i did for the unregistered nick.
My question is, can i get the masked ip of a registered nick also? If so, i can detect it as soon as it is logged into the irc network and hence i can set a ban on it.
thanks
