Forums Feature Suggestions Disable Smooth Scrolling

I'm using mIRC 6.03, and would like to be able to disable the 'smooth scrolling' effect. It is a heavy drain on system resources when scrolling a channel with a non-standard font.
As far as I can tell, mIRC neither uses the global windows settings for smooth scrollin, nor provides a means to disable it at the application level.

I could have sworn smooth scrolling was at system preferences, not application..

Yes, it is... If you have xp--

1. Click start menu, right click my computer. Select "properties"
2. Navigate to the advanced tab, then at the top click Settings in the performance box
3. Scroll down to Smooth Scrol

mIRC has no features that use smooth scrolling as far as I'm aware. Can you be more specific? Where are you seeing smooth scrolling?
