OP anon_xyz Nutrimatic drinks dispenser A Joined: May 2003 Posts: 5	I no longer can connect to Undernet. Every server tells me I have drones, or am a drone, or smell like a drone, or whatever "drones" means. Some servers tell me that I am K-lined as well. How can I remedy this?

OP anon_xyz Nutrimatic drinks dispenser A Joined: May 2003 Posts: 5	Sorry--I am not nearly an expert user, and don't know exactly where to make the change you are suggesting. I am using mIRC 6.03. I open mIRC and a blank window comes up. I type /identd xxxx, and then try to log on and still get b!tching about drones. I don't at all see where to use the other option you mention. If you have the patience, would you please tell me, keystroke by keystroke, how to make the change you are suggesting?

Click on the + Next to "Connect" Click on the word "Identd" Make sure the checkbox on the top right is checked - [x] "Enable identd server" Type a new identd into the editbox labelled "User ID:" Click OK. The other way is to type /identd on moo {ENTER} in any mirc window that has an editbox. (Status window / channel / query)

A Dalnet site says that Dalnet has been under heavy attach from drones, so apparently mine is not an isolated problem. Meanwhile I will continue to hobble along with vIRC until the mIRC problem is resolved. Thank you again.
