Forums mIRC Help having issues with speech in mirc

I can get speech to work in pm but not in chat also my help icons do not work and some times if I minimize mirc window when I try to bring it back up it doesn't work I have to totally shut down my computer so it logs me out of mirc and then start it back up and re-start mirc can u help please

sorry I forgot to post the verison of mirc which is 719 and windows 7

have you gone into the speech options? click on the events section in that option area, and make sure you have checked off in the channel area, message (at least, if not others)...

review all the options in that display and pick which you want to speak..

You could also upgrade to the current version, but I do not think this issue is version related.. just settings in options.

Please reply so we know if you resolved this issue.

both chat and private mesage are checked have been all along and it still only works in private message
