Forums mIRC Help Help please

Hey,

I am not an IRC noob (totally) but i just got the new irc (7.19 is the newest??)

Anyway, whenever i am in a channel, and i get a PM it makes a noise and i can't find out how to turn that off - thing is, i tend to get a lot so it would be brill if someone could tell me what to to to turn it off!

(I need sound on, so turning that iff isn't the answer)

Alt-O > Sounds. In the drop down, choose Query and then click the button below it and hit Cancel. It will then change to No Sound. Also, uncheck the checkboxes below that for messages you don't want to have beep.

Thanks, I have done that, it definately says no sound - there are no ticks at all, and it still happens!

I checked and it says no sound on all of the possible options!

The noise i get didn't happen on my old irc
