Forums mIRC Help Remote Help Needed.

Hi all, i need help on mirc remote i wanna know how can i rename a remote when i add a code in a remote.. For an example i put massjoin kicked and went i view the remote i can see what massjoin kick i put inside the remote. Because everytime i put a remote in there it showing script1.mirc i want to rename to massjoin.mirc

Use File > Save As.

Ok i press Alt + R to open the remote option.. I click veiw i have remote 1 to 12 and all name are script1.mirc to 12 i wanna rename the script.mirc and i did save as doesn't work.

When you do save as, it asks you for a filename. Enter whatever filename you want. It's just like any other program where you can save things.

Save as will make a copy instead of renaming but since mirc 7.0, there is a rename option in the menu, File > rename

Well i'm using mirc version 6.35. and there is no rename option.

True, though if you use Save As before saving it normally, it won't be a copy. Afterwards, it does make a copy. Still, that's a nice way to have a backup in case you change something and mess it up. Rename is still a good new feature for 7.x users.
