When I try to connect with irchighway it will not connect on any port. With undernet I get connected on some servers but when I try to join a channel or request a channel list it will disconnect.

I guess no one knows how to use MIrc. anyway I will give this one more shot. This is what I get when I try to connect to irchighway:

Most other networks are about the same. I don't expect to get an answer because I don't think anyone know how to work Mirc. I can't even get a return email from the guy who wrote the program.

I feel that you are being unfair to the helpers on this forum.
We do help as our time and ability allows. All of the helpers here are volunteers.
We do know a fair bit about mIRC, but no one knows everything about it.
Regarding your actual error code, there's a big sticky regarding that located here

As to Khaled not responding to your e-mail, it could just be a matter of time. I'm quite sure that he receives lots of e-mails, and I know from experience that he does respond to them, just not maybe as quickly as one would like.

Referencing your first post, you waited a couple of days before complaining. On most help forums that I'm on, they usually require a minimum of 5 days without a response before bumping your topic.

Sorry if you thought I was being unfair. I am just fluctuated. I have been trying to fix this for almost two weeks, and everywhere I turn no one seems to know what to do. Everyone seems to just say go to someone else. I did find out something last night, I don't have a problem with elfnet, they connect fine and I can get on any channel I choose, but nothing on there is of interest. Again sorry if I was rude.

Are you blocking CTCP commands? It may be required that you reply to those LAG and PING requests in order to stay on the network.

I don't even know what CTCP commands are.

In that case you probably aren't blocking them purposely, however, if you have one or more scripts that were written by other people, they might be doing this. Thus my question to you is: Are you running any scripts? If so, what happens if you try to connect after turning your scripts off? You can turn them off by typing
Code:
/!remote off

The only scripts that I run are dlfilter and sbclient. And I have been running them all along. Someone told me that the ISP could be blocking some ports. He said to change the ports from 1024-5000 to 4000-4019. I tried this but didn't help. If my ISP is blocking some ports cause this problem. I have installed SSL and now I can, sometimes connect to IRChighway, but only if I type in the command: /server irc.irchighway.net +9999. Here is the log file from the last time I tried to connect:
Code:

The ports you are referring to (1024-5000) have nothing to do with connecting to a network. As you can see, you were connecting on port 6664 on your last post. So changing those ports won't do a thing for your problem. It's possible your ISP blocks ports to IRC, but that would affect all networks that use the same ports. And you said you can connect to others just fine. Besides which, you ARE able to connect. It just disconnects you afterwards. A blocked port wouldn't allow the connection in the first place.

If you can get in touch with someone who runs or manages the network, they may be able to check the logs to see if that shows anything that might explain the issue. For example, if there was a requirement to respond to the ping and you didn't, the logs would show that.

Beyond that, it's really hard to say what the problem is. You would need to do a lot more narrowing down and troubleshooting and then provide a lot more information for anyone here to have any real idea of the problem. As you can see if you look at the sticky thread regarding that disconnect message, there are a LOT of possible reasons and fixes. You'd be better off checking that sticky and trying all of the things mentioned as that will likely get you connected much faster than someone trying to guess at the problem.

I'll do that, and thanks for your time.
