Forums Connection Issues They can see me, but I'm not getting anything?

I'm repeatedly getting this glitch wherein my mIRC will send my messages to the room, and they can see what I'm saying, but I'm not getting ANYTHING back. Not messages, not log in and log off notifs, nothing.

Usually disconnecting and reconnecting solves the problem (at least temporarily) but tonight it's doing it at least every three minutes or so. I can't chat. It's impossible.

I've checked my modem, checked my (wireless) router, and checked my computer as best I can. I've restarted all three, multiple times. Is this a known issue, and if so, how can it be resolved?

two things to look at....
1. make sure your not running any scripts that could cause this
try : /remote off for a while, see if the problem goes away.

2. if your running a firewall, make sure its setup to allow traffic back to your machine.
