I recently logged into [deleted by moderator] chat on EFnet and as soon as the window popped up, a virus by the name of "LOVE-LETTER.HTM" began downloading. It was a small file, therefore, requiring little time for downloading. Anybody have ANY information on this???

Enabling dcc auto-get is generally a bad idea, alt+o go to DCC, then Options and make sure in the "on send request" "show get dialog" is checked instead of "auto-get file". Additionally, you should try installing a virus scanner.

You can find info on many virii/trojans and how to find and remove them on numerous websites, (which may also have free online scanners). trendmicro Symantec Kaspersky are all good.

Just because the sender wasnt there when you were, doesnt mean they werent before. Many ppl dont realize they are sending trojans, hopefully someone informed the sender...one way or another.
