The scenario:

- I share channels #a and #b with another user
- I am also in channel #c that this user is not on
- #c is my active window
- The other user sends me a /notice

Result: The notice is printed to both channels I share with that user, but only channel #a's window is highlighted to indicate this. Channel #b's window indicates no activity at all.

I've seen that one for years. Consider it a feature (so that you won't miss a Notice) rather than a bug.

You probably misunderstood my post. I don't see the printing the notice to more than one window as a bug, but the fact that only the first window is highlighted. It seems odd for mIRC to print something to a window and not indicate this in any way.

This behavior might be intended. If mIRC highlights both windows, then you would have to check both windows to clear the highlight on both, even though they both are displaying the exact same message. By only highlighting the message in one window, at least you don't have to clear the highlight on multiple windows.

Makes sense to me.
