it'd be nice if there was an option like hide own messages. This would allow you to still trigger on input events and theme your own message prefix without having to haltdef or halt and .msg $active and having spaces or whatever stripped from what you're trying to submit. mIRC submits multiple spaces without a problem if you don't have an on input event theming your messages.
I thought prefix own messages in alt+o > IRC did that so i tried unchecking it, and all it did was change to [timestamp] > message here....
