Hi,

We just implemented an IRC Server "Unreal3.2.8.1".

One forum we created requires user to be added in some list file. We add them by doing a /msg chanserv vop <chan name> add <user name>

Now, for some reason, there is this bot that was added that if you try to enter this channel without your nick being authenticated would "ban" you in the channel and our admin team would need again and again do the "unban" actions.

This bot got a name called "dayDreamer" but I assume it could be a made up name. He is responsible for kicking user who say rude words, try to connect with no permission, etc...

1. Any idea what this bot is? name? and how to configure it so that it does not interfear with the "ban" option?

2. Do you think it is even necessary to keep the bot? As we have our own staff on the IRC monitoring and moderating 24x7

Many thanks!
Patrick

I don't think its necessary to keep the bot if its causing troubles. I would remove it and either a) get a better one or b) make your own.
