I have installed latest Mirc build to a USB flash drive.

Maybe we can clear something up. So Im having problems connecting to IRC and I know its a firewall issue-- Windows prompts me to allow Mirc access. Ok fine..

So dosent this defeat the whole purpose of running an IRC client on a flash drive? I'd like to mantain my anonymity while chatting--so why do I need to configure any connections on Windows, on my actual system?

Is there not a way to run Mirc portable strictly from my flash drive? Properties? Admin?

If this is incredibly newbish, I'm sorry but I could use a simple explanation. Any ideas?

mIRC cannot just bypass your firewall. You have to give it permission. Also, you aren't getting any anonymity by using a flash drive other than that you aren't making changes to the computer itself (other than firewall). Anyone online can see everything about you that they could if you installed to the hard drive.
