About me: I've been using mIRC for quite a while now. I've only recently gotten into scripting on it. I would say my knowledge about using mIRC is fair.
My problem: I went into the mIRC options dialog and unchecked the setting, "hide ping?pong! event". Despite my doing this, mIRC still fails to hide the echo event. For a while I've had this problem go on. It's only now that I've decided to finally do something about it. I have scripted a few things but none that are tampering with the mIRC ini files at all. Does anybody know what may be causing this problem?
Specs: mIRC v 6.02

UNCHECKING the option to hide that event is good reason to not hide it. smile

If you're getting a "PONG *" reply, not a "Ping? Pong!", that will be a reply to a PING you (your script) sent to the server.

i appreciate the help. I'm going to have a look at the running scripts and see if there's something in there issuing that command. smile

try typing /remote off in any window, and see if that resolves the problem. If so, its gotta be the remote scripts. >:D

If it isn't "Ping? Pong!", it is a script.
