Id like to see the ability of storing return carriages, and then send the hole buffer, like some clients can
Explanation:
I type:
hello <carriage return here>
world <carriage return here>
how are you? <final_return>
and the text should be sent as:
hello
world
how are you?
at one time, instead of sending it seperate
The result would be the same for the other user, that would see:
<nick_here> hello
<nick_here> world
<nick_here> how are you?

Maybe pressing control + shift + enter to store returns, dunno..
What do you think ?

That's just codemastr being his opinionated self. MS Chat isn't really my cuppa tea either but I like the original suggestion. Anything that makes mIRC dialogues more functional is okay by me.

Who's talking about dialogs? Larra was referring to the editbox, not an edit control. grin

With that enabled you can't use the arrow keys to bring back stuff you have typed before. Well, I am unable to anyway. It's a shame because it's handy when you need to repeat commands.

Nimue: Quite true, as you can see though my attention was on something else. grin

When you're in a channel with an MSChat person and you see:
&*(#&*(%&@%$*)&@$#(@& Hey!
&$()*#&*(@#&$*@(_&#(*@& How are you?
&*($#&$*)_@!&#(*)@&$)(*# I'm fine, thanks

You'll know what I meant. And in any case, what are you talking about? No one was talking about dialogs.

Damn CTRL key gets me every time...

Anyway, I tried it for about ten mins and just had to go back to a single line, a man gets used to a thing. smirk
